How can I redeem my discount code?

Once your order in placed in your cart you can proceed to the checkout where you will be asked to enter your contact details and payment information. At step 4. Payment & Discounts you will be prompted to enter your discount code before finalising payment. For any issues please contact Helen using the contact form below.


What is the process for ordering a portrait?

Ordering a portrait is simple and easy. Helen will be with you every step of the way to ensure your perfect piece is completed.

  • First, head to the online shop to view the different sizes and framing options. If you have questions regarding the suitability of particular photographs please feel free to send them to Helen at hello@oghamirishdesigns.com before ordering.

  • Complete the order at the point of sale.

  • Please ensure you read the refund policy before completing the sale.

  • Once the order is complete you will receive a confirmation email. If you haven’t sent your photos yet you can attach them to this email.

  • Your custom work will be completed and shipped within 14 working days or sooner.


Where do I enter additional details?

Once you choose the size and framing options of your piece, click ‘Purchase’ and a pop-up will appear where you can enter personalisation details. You can then click ‘Purchase’ again to add the piece to your cart and continue shopping or proceed to checkout.


How do I know if my photograph is suitable for painting?

  • Suitable images are high resolution, ideally taken outdoors using natural lighting and faces are clearly shown. Please avoid sending overly cropped images, low resolution images or screenshots. The better the photo the better the portrait results will be.

  • If possible please avoid choosing photographs where the subject is wearing sunglasses or hats that cast shadows on the subjects face.

  • Some images may be combined by special exemption. Helen current offers this service at no additional charge. Please send you images for consultation to hello@oghamirishdesigns.com to see if this is workable.

  • On the rare occasion that images are simply not workable and an order has already been placed, a full refund will be issued provided no work has been started on the portrait.


How do I order a custom piece?

The process for ordering a custom Ogham piece is also very simple.

  • Browse the listings in the Ogham shop.

  • You will be asked during the order process to enter custom details such as names, dates and a phrase of your choosing.

  • Complete the transaction at point of sale. Please read the refund policy with regard to custom orders.

  • Your piece will be completed and shipped within 14 working days.

  • You piece will also come with a small information card explaining the history of Ogham and offering an Ogham Alphabet translator.


I have questions regarding customs charges.

If you order an unframed portrait it will be shipped in a hard-backed envelope. Flat mail (non-parcels) is currently exempt from customs charges (at the time of writing May 2021). Parcels (framed portraits) may be subject to customs fees. Please contact Helen at the button above to discuss your particular questions.


Can my order be sent directly to the giftee?

Yes absolutely! You just need to enter the giftee’s details in the shipping address section. If you would like a handwritten message included with your order please include this in the Additional Information field at the checkout where Helen will be happy to transcribe your message free of charge.


Can my packaging be recycled?

Yes! Helen is committed to transitioning towards eco friendly packaging in 2021. All packaging (where possible) is compostable or recyclable, even the cellophane protective sleeves! Any non-recyclable packaging has been reclaimed from local businesses and Helen encourages her customers to continue to reuse or regift their packaging where possible.


I need my order in a hurry!

All Irish orders come with complimentary shipping but if you would like next day shipping please choose this option at the point of sale. Unfortunately due to factors such as Brexit and Covid, some delays may occur. For tracked parcels please see www.anpost.ie where you can trace your parcel using the code supplied in your email receipt.
